The Embassy / Government are very strict on the applicant's photograph requirements. Your visa may be rejected if these requirements are not met.

Uruguay Tourist Visa
In support of your visa application, you would require:
- The Applicant should have a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of application for the visa.
- One visa form (photocopy allowed).
- One passport-size photograph
- A covering letter from the Applicant regarding the purpose of the visit. In case of a cruise, a covering letter from the tourist company is required. For other types of visits, a confirmed hotel booking or a reference in Uruguay should be included in the covering letter.
- The Applicant should mention his/her contact details including an E-mail ID.
- Confirmed onward/return air ticket.
- Onward visa and proof of funds.
- Photocopy of the Applicant's passport and photocopies of visas previously obtained from any country (including expired visas).
- The Embassy may ask for additional documents or require the Applicant to appear for a personal interview depending on the case.
- Visa holders should enter Uruguay within 60 days after the visa is issued, otherwise the visa will be null and invalid..
- All applications are referred to Uruguay for approval and take about 14 days approximately.
- Once the visa approval comes, the visa can be stamped in one or two working days..

A tourist visa is for applicants whose primary purpose of travel is leisure, such as tourism, visiting friends or family, or attending social and recreational events. In contrast, a business visa is intended for those whose main purpose is official business activities, including attending meetings, conferences, exhibitions, seminars, or training sessions.
