The Embassy / Government are very strict on the applicant's photograph requirements. Your visa may be rejected if these requirements are not met.

- Color photo only, with a plain white or light gray background.
- The face should occupy 70–80% of the photo.Keep a neutral expression, with both eyes open.The head should be centered, looking directly at the camera.

Rwanda Tourist Visa
In support of your visa application, you would require:
- The Applicant should have an original passport with a minimum validity of 6 months.
- Two visa forms duly filled and signed by the Applicant.
- Two colored passport-size photographs with white background.
- A Covering Letter from the Applicant stating his/her personal details, passport details, purpose and duration of stay in Rwanda. The letter should be addressed to The Visa Officer, Rwanda High Commission, New Delhi.
- Confirmed onward/return air ticket.
- A Leave Letter from the employing Indian Company (if applicable).
- Bank statements for the last 6 months.
- An invitation letter and/or confirmation of hotel accommodation booking.
- A yellow fever certificate is also required as a support document. A Yellow fever vaccination certificate is valid for 10 years, beginning 10 days after vaccination. Vaccination shot to be taken accordingly. (Note: Applicant should carry the original Yellow Fever Certificate at the time of travel).
- A set of photocopies of all the above documents.
- Visa issued is valid for 3 months.

If you are visiting friend or relative:
A tourist visa is intended for travelers whose primary purpose is leisure, including activities such as tourism, visiting friends or family, and participating in social or recreational events. In contrast, a business visa is designed for individuals visiting primarily for business purposes, such as attending meetings, conferences, exhibitions, seminars, or training sessions.
Passport must be valid for at least 6 months prior to application and have two available blank pages.
It is at the discretion of the visa officer at the Embassy if they wish to call you in for a personal interview or not.
No form of employment is permitted on a Business / Tourist visa.

Yes. You need to carry both passports with you i.e. new passport (all the personal info must match the old passport) and the expired passport with a valid UK visa.
UK visa cannot be extended. On expiry, you need to apply for a new visa.
